The Education Bureau (EDB) (February 3) announced class arrangements after Chinese New Year holidays

EDB allowed to arrange more students to return to campuses on a half-day basis in accordance with school-based arrangements after the schools’ Chinese New Year’s holidays, with the number of students capped at one-third of the total number of students.

Continuation of Suspension of Face-to-Face Classes for Schools in Hong Kong: The Arrangements

The Education Bureau (EDB) has decided that all kindergartens, primary and secondary schools (including special schools and schools offering non-local curriculum) as well as schools offering non-formal curriculum (PSNFCs) (commonly known as “tutorial schools”) will continue the suspension of face-to-face classes and school activities after 10 January 2021. The suspension will
continue until the beginning of schools’ Chinese New Year holidays.

Further suspension of face-to-face classes for all schools

The Education Bureau (EDB) announced that all kindergartens as well as primary and secondary schools (including special schools and schools offering non-local curriculum) would further suspend face-to-face classes and school activities after their scheduled Christmas holidays until January 10, 2021. During the period, private schools offering non-formal curriculum (commonly known as “tutorial schools”) will also suspend face-to-face classes and school activities of all levels.

Suspend face-to-face classes until Christmas holiday

Further to the Government’s earlier separate announcements on suspension of face-to-face classes and school activities for all kindergartens and Primary 1 to Primary 3 levels of primary schools until December 6, the Government announced today (November 29) that in light of the worsening situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, all kindergartens as well as primary and secondary schools (including special schools and schools offering non-local curriculum) will suspend face-to-face classes and school activities starting from this Wednesday (December 2) until the beginning of school Christmas holidays.

Kindergartens and kindergarten-cum-child care centres will continue to suspend face-to-face classes and school activities until December 6 (Sunday).

Suspension of face-to-face classes for kindergartens and kindergarten-cum-child care centres

The Government announced today (November 12) that all kindergartens and kindergarten-cum-child care centres would start suspension of face-to-face classes and school activities for two weeks from this Saturday (November 14) until November 27 (Friday) owing to the outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infection.
